Silviya Barratt
Silviya Barrett is Director of Policy and Campaigns at Campaign for Better Transport – the national charity championing high quality, affordable sustainable transport. Silviya joined the charity in February 2020. She is responsible for building the organisation’s policy, research and campaigns programme and managing external engagement. She also leads project delivery and local engagement. Prior to that, she was Research Manager at think tank Centre for London.

Martin Dean
Martin is responsible for overseeing the performance Go-Ahead’s UK bus companies outside London, stretching from Devon and Cornwall to the north-east of England. With more than three decades’ experience in transport, he is also chairman of the bus trade body, the Confederation of Passenger Transport.
He was previously head of business development for Go-Ahead, where he was successful in identifying new business opportunities, both domestically and internationally which included leading the Group’s expansion into Manchester in the UK, Singapore, and the Republic of Ireland overseas.
Janette Bell
Janette became Managing Director of First Bus in October 2020. First Bus is one of Britain’s largest bus companies with around a fifth of bus services outside London, and a fleet of more than 4,000 buses. Janette has led the electrification of the First Bus fleet and infrastructure which now includes over 600 electric buses and over 600 charging outlets. This year saw a milestone as four bus depots transitioned to 100% electric operations.
Prior to joining First Bus Janette has spent her career in customer facing service businesses with a focus on commercial and supply chain. This included a period as Chief Executive Officer of P&O Ferries where she led the commissioning of a new class of hybrid diesel electric ships for the English Channel . Prior to joining P&O Ferries, Janette was Sales & Marketing Director for Hammerson plc, the property development and investment company. She also held senior executive positions within Centrica, including Director of Sales & Growth for British Gas. Her career began at Tesco, where she was a graduate trainee, before becoming a consultant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
Janette is also a non-executive director of Grainger plc the UK’s largest listed build to rent landlord.
